Sam hosts Howard Bryant (@hbryant42), ESPN writer and author of Full Dissidence: Notes from an Uneven Playing Field, and the New Republic’s Alex Pareene (@pareene) to discuss the week’s top stories and the on-going protests and unrest in Minneapolis.

On today’s show: Hennepin County DA says there’s evidence that prevents DA from charging cops.

Howard Bryant (@hbryant42), ESPN writer and author of Full Dissidence: Notes from an Uneven Playing Field, joins Sam to discuss the protests in Minneapolis and elsewhere, police violence, and the unequal protection provided by police to black and white citizens.

Alex Pareene (@pareene) of the New Republic joins Sam to discuss the punitive policies that led to widespread police violence. Negative shout out to Amy Klobuchar, who declined to prosecute the cop who killed George Floyd for previous offenses. CNN reporter and crew arrested in Minneapolis. Footage from Autozone in Minneapolis arouses suspicion that the man who set the fire was an agent provocateur. Tucker strawmans protest: if racism is a national emergency, what’s not acceptable? Says racism in policing is not real because cops kill more white people.
