The difference between a democratic socialist and a social democrat and the idea of worker control. Historical examples of social democracy in action. Which sectors should the state control, and which should the workers? A brief response to the left-critiques of market socialism. How does democratic socialism fit into the left’s current political project? Where do race and “status” fit in?

On the fun half: Trump asks campaign advisor Steve Cortes how he looks so WASPy and if he likes the Hispanics or the country more. Asked about the UAW GM strike, Trump says he’s got the workers’ support. WFP director explains why party endorsed Warren over Sanders. Chris Coons explains (walks back) his call to strike Iran. Ben Shapiro says nobody has yet described Kavanaugh’s penis. Ben Shapiro time travels back to the ’90s, says rap isn’t music. Steven Crowder’s bonkers gun insurance commercial. A caller recounts how MR helped him leave the Yang gang. TI asks Candace Owens which era of American history was so great for black people that she wants to bring it back.
