4/25 Decolonizing Wealth w/ Edgar Villanueva

April 25, 2019

Edgar Villanueva joins Sam to discuss his new book, ‘Decolonizing Wealth: Indigenous Wisdom to Heal Divides and Restore Balance.’

Following an impoverished upbringing, Villanueva embarked on a 15-year career working for various non-profit and philanthropic organizations. In this book, he critiques the ways philanthropy preserves existing power structures and argues for a better distribution of wealth, especially with regard to historically exploited and dispossessed communities.
