At an appropriations committee hearing, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, dripping in flop sweat, grows increasingly defensive as he is questioned about the quagmire he coaxed Trump into starting in Iran.

Hegseth tries to claim that Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) labeling this war a failure is an indictment of the troops to which the Senator clarifies that is Hegseth who is the failure, not the servicemembers.

Hegseth tried to scapegoat the Biden administration, but Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) reminds him that the Strait of Hormuz never closed during the previous presidencies.
