4/22 The Cases That Could Break Up Google & Facebook + Trump’s Pentagon Implosion

April 22, 2025

Newsday Tuesday! Sam and Emma break down the latest news leaking out of the Pentagon, as well as Fox News host Will Cain’s non-apology after acknowledging he was wrong about doubting that Donald Trump had ever said that he wanted to deport U.S. citizens. Republican congressman Austin Scott gives some hints as to how Republicans are planning to make cuts to Medicaid.

Then Emma and Sam also speak to Brendan Benedict, an antitrust and commercial litigation lawyer who is covering antitrust cases for the blog Big Tech on Trial. He gives us an overview of the Google antitrust cases, as well as the current Facebook case which Brendan is covering now for Big Tech On Trial.

Check out their coverage here: https://www.bigtechontrial.com/

In the Fun Half, Emma and Sam check ask why Donald Trump continues to punt on releasing more of the Epstein files. They also check in on comedian and podcaster Andrew Schulz, who says he switched from being a Democrat to being a Republican because conservatives are doing cool sh*t now, like saying and doing whatever they want (as long as it’s not critical of Israel). Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Brian Kilmeade suggest that the Deep State is out to get him, and that despite them he’s not going to join the “cocktail sipping” crowd. Also, the White House welcomes a new journalist into the briefing room with the bravery to finally ask hard-hitting questions, Tim Pool.
