Rick Hasen (@RickHasen), Chancellor’s Professor of Law and Political Science at UC Irvine, joins Sam to discuss the vote count and the Supreme Court’s recent rulings concerning ballots, mailing, and signatures.

On today’s show: Asked about closing argument that Trump is ending corona virus in US, WH spox says we’re moving in right direction, he doesn’t want to quibble over semantics related to corona virus. Asked about Pence campaigning in Wisconsin, WH spox says it’s fine because Pence gets great testing.

How Kavanaugh’s latest opinion could affect states’ ability to count the votes in 2020 as well as voting rights down the line. The wiggle room the constitution leaves with regards to restrictions on voting rights. A voting rights amendment and other measures that could be taken to shore up our democracy.
