8/31 The RNC Takes Aim At The Suburbs & Right-Wing Violence In Kenosha

August 31, 2020

Sam and the MR crew break down the top stories of the past week including protests in Kenosha and Portland as well as the RNC as we hurdle into the homestretch of the 2020 presidential election.

On today’s show: Mark Meadows says Trump’s America is peaceful. New Biden ad shows empty stadiums: “Trump put America on the sidelines…let’s get back in the game.”

On the fun half: Pelosi says releasing Trump’s tax return will be a 2021 priority and Richard Neal is the man to do it. Scalise explains why he posted edited Ady Barkan video, says passively it shouldn’t have been edited but Biden wants to divert money from police anyway. Ron Johnson refuses to condemn Rittenhouse shooting during Kenosha protests. NYT media reporter Kevin Roose says Facebook is like a parallel news universe. Ben Shapiro says Democratic mayors let people burn their cities, without calling in National Guard vigilantes defending property take hold. Charlie Kirk says decent people rise up when protestors take over, says he’s not advocating for vigilantism, but simply asking how do you get to vigilantism. A plug for The Valley Labor Report (@LaborReporters), a pro-labor radio show out of Huntsville, AL. Plus, your calls and IMs!
