6/10 The Cops Throw A Fit As #DefundThePolice Gathers Steam w/ MR Crew

June 10, 2020

Sam and Michael Brooks break down the latest headlines and stories from last night’s primaries, police reform messages from Capitol Hill, and the on-going Covid19 pandemic.

On today’s show: Hannity says “I’m not making any comparisons” after he compares investigation into Trump to George Floyd’s death. Obama and Trump’s intern photos tell a tale of two White Houses. Talking about police reform, Kevin McCarthy says people should not be judged based on color of skin or the color of their uniform. NYPD SBA President says cops are the real victims at press conference: “stop treating us like animals!” Kilmeade asks NY PBA President what kind of reforms the police want for themselves…asks if they want more money. Matt Walsh is bothered by those honoring George Floyd: “there’s no evidence this was a great man.”

On the fun half: NYT drone footage of voting lines in Georgia primaries. GA Rep. Doug Collins (running for Senate) says it’s always the same counties w/ voting problems in Georgia. Brian Kilmeade shares (now walked back) asymptomatic spread WHO report, says 100,000 lives is a lot but so is 25,000 retail stores. English cop racially profiles a man: “the reason I stopped you is you’re a black male.” Should prison abolitionists ally themselves with right-wing libertarians? Minneapolis council woman says it’s a place of privilege to call police during a violent break-in. Josh from Chicago on the need to marginalize cops from the labor movement. Plus, your calls and IMs!
