Author Rachel Louise Snyder (@RLSWrites) joins us to discuss her new book, No Visible Bruises: What We Don’t Know About Domestic Violence Can Kill Us.

Author Rachel Louise Snyder (@RLSWrites) joins us to discuss her new book, No Visible Bruises: What We Don’t Know About Domestic Violence Can Kill Us. Domestic violence accounts for 15% of all violent crime in the US, but it’s often swept under the rug as a private matter. The history of the laws around spousal abuse, which only became a crime in 1984. The income disparities in who gets charged and convicted. Some myths about domestic violence, and why they are wrong. Systemic changes that would reduce intimate partner violence and help victims get the services they need.

On the fun half: Trump says a new trade deal with UK would put NHS on the table. Corbyn says hands off NHS at anti-Trump rally in England. Boy says he “skipped A-level revision” to mow giant penis for Donald Trump. Bernie Sanders supports the Buzzfeed union. ICE detainee deaths were preventable: document. Ilhan Omar responds. Jared Kushner calls Russian contact in 2016 “a hypothetical.” Hickenlooper booed after saying “socialism is not the answer.”
