We are ruled by criminals.

But how can one not pick it.
if 2 + 2= 4,
then what do we make of this:
"I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"Falwell, pastor of the 22,000-member Thomas Road Baptist Church, viewed the attacks as God's judgment on America for "throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked."

The new last vestige
President George W. Bush met privately with Focus on
the Family Founder and Chairman James Dobson and
approximately a dozen Christian right leaders last
week to rally support for his policies on Iraq, Iran
and the so-called "war on terror."
It gets crazier:
Dobson went on to enumerate a series of meetings
convened by Christian right leaders in Washington to
discuss the supposedly existential threat to the
United States from a nuclear Iran.“I heard about this danger [from Iran] not only at the
White House but from other pro-family leaders that I
met during that week in Washington," he said. “Many
people in a position to know are talking about the
possibility of losing a city to nuclear or biological
or chemical attack. And if we can lose one we can lose
ten."If we can lose ten we can lose a hundred," he added,
“especially if North Korea and Russia and China pile
on.”

Is the launch date for the new blog! What we have now will not go away. However, there will also be a "diary" type section where if you register with the site you will be able to post your own stories. And more, we will begin to offer audio, video and audio blogs from various special guests.
I spent the day (actually the past two weeks) building Honeydo Farms. Pics to follow.

Dick Cheney should stay in the bunker.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates --Iran's president led a raucous anti-American rally on Sunday in this tightly controlled U.S. ally in the Persian Gulf, a day after a low-key visit by Vice President Dick Cheney aimed at countering Tehran's influence in the region.

but this is a family friendly blog. Let's just call him John MCcain talking about his waltz through a Baghdad market.
"I'll be glad to back to that market -- with or without military protection and Humvees, etc."

Administration Withheld E-Mails About Rove
By Murray Waas, National Journal

from Josh Marshall
As you know, Gonzales is returning to Capitol Hill on Thursday to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. Time now reports that Kyle Sampson told congressional investigators "three times in as many minutes that Gonzales was angry with McNulty because he had exposed the White House's involvement in the firings had put it's (sic) role "in the public sphere," as Sampson phrased it, according to Congressional sources familiar with the interview."
Should be some fireworks thursday.

Sen. Charles Schumer has called for Alberto Gonzales to resign. Sen. Alan Specter sounds like he wouldn't mind Gonzales ankling his position. Members of the Sam Seder Juggernaut are using their psychic powers to determine when the attorney general will bow out:
Sam: "May 2007, about two and a half months"
Joel: "Three weeks [Monday, April 2], followed by Cheney about a month later. Condi Rice named the first African American vice president, thus stealing some of the thunder of the Barack Obama presidential bid."
Bill Scher, Liberal Oasis: "One year. Bush would never boot an administration official under pressure. He'll wait for the situation to cool down, then he'll show Gonzales the door." (Editor's note: And give him a medal.)
Justin: End of December 2007.
Mark Hatch-Miller (former producer): "I'll bet you all a dollar that neither Alberto Gonzales nor Dick Cheney will resign before the end of the term."
Lauren: "I'm with Mark on this one." UPDATE: Lauren now having second thoughts on bet.
Mark in Vancouver, WA: "I am reminded of the blood letting in the Nixon regime when Tricky
Dick was trying to throw others to the wolves in a vain effort to save his own butt. Alberto "Torquemada" Gonzales will be out towards the end of June. (Between the 20th and 30th.)"
Christy Harvey, Center for American Progress: "Well, first we have to wait for Bush to announce Gonzales will be with him until the end of his presidency. Gonzales will be gone 4 days later. say May 25, right before the dead news cycle of Memorial Day weekend."
Alan from Baltimore: I think if Gonzo does not depart one way or the other by the end of this week, he won't ever ... The mainstream media can only focus on one story at a
time and by next week something else will have replaced this story just like
it has with Walter Reed and Scooter Libby. People will forget about him and
the pressure to get rid of him will be gone. The only way to keep this
story going past this week is to discover that he is the father of Anna
Nicole Smith's baby!
Nancy (no city): "He'll be gone on St Patrick's Day."
Eric, ex-Al Franken Show: "Alberto Gonzales will resign on (Good) Friday, April 6. You can take that guess to the bank!"
Tiffany: "On May 24, my mom's birthday. I think she'd be satisfied with that gift alone" (Editor's note: Hear that, President Bush? Do you really want to disappoint Tiffany's mom?)
Ethan, Portland, OR, 13 years old: "When Bush says: 'Alberto Gonzales is the greatest attorney general in the history of the country. He'll be with me until the end of my administration,' Gonzales will be fired the next day."
Joe Conason, Friday Seder Show regular and Observer/Salon brainiac: "Next Friday (March 23) at 4 p.m."
Marc Maron (of Marc Maron fame): "Monday, March 19"
When do you think Attorney General Gonzales will be "gone-zo"? Send us an email at samsedershow at gmail.com
UPDATE: The prize has been set! If you're deemed closest to the actual day of Gonzo's resignation, you'll win signed copies of Sam Seder and Stephen Sherrill's FUBAR and Joe Conason's It Can Happen Here. Marc Maron has also thrown in a copy of The Jerusalem Syndrome

Here's an email from Wilbur, a.k.a No. 1 Sam Fan:
Perhaps if those on the left spent some time living in ANY OTHER country they'd GROW UP and acquire some RESPECT AND APPRECIATION not only for themselves, but for what they have here in America. I think it's DISGRACEFUL how those on the far left PRETEND to be concerned about our military, when in REALITY, they have NO RESPECT OR APPRECIATION for what they do. I wonder if those on the far left have some sort of mental or emotional disorder or if their parents didn't care enough to raise them properly. Those seem the ONLY possible explanations for their FOOLISH behavior, when it seems they'd be old enough to behave like RESPONSIBLE ADULTS.

The Nevada Democratic Party is working with Fox News Channel to host a debate with all the Democratic Party presidential candidates in August. What gives? Why not, say, C-SPAN? Or CNN, MSNBC or Animal Planet? Fox News wears its conservative Republican bias on its sleeve -- the Nevada Dems should provide the debate to someone else.
Click here to send an email to these Democrats letting them know you oppose having Fox News host a presidential forum.

The Sam Seder juggernaut receives shockingly little hate mail. But we're starting to see an increase, which means we must be doing something right.
Here's some venom from Brian, who is apparently a liberal:
Sam,Stop the bombastic bullshit. Stop ranting. Everytime I hear your voice I think you're trying to sell me a 74-function piece of plastic for $19.99
That is NOT the way to promote intelligent debate about the issues facing this country.
Ever listen to the Al Franken show? Try it. You'll notice that the progressive message comes across 10 times better through his calm discussion than through your bombastic crap.Sorry. I care about this cause.
Remember you can email the show -- with love or hate -- at samsedershow at gmail (you know how to convert this to a real email address, right?)

Here at the Sam Seder Show, we're taking heroic measures to revive the main section of the blog. In the meantime, we'll post here in the righthand column. To clarify: The show hasn't "moved to the right." Just the blog.
Check out the latest installments in the Washington Post's investigative series, "The Other Walter Reed." Yesterday, Walter Reed officials started fixing up housing facilities. Also, WaPo reported that a former Walter Reed aid official is under investigation.

Go to eBay to bid on one solid minute of on-air, no holds barred, truth-as-you-see-it broadcasting: a rant on Air America's The Sam Seder Show. Bidding has closed! The winning bid was $720. Wow! Proceeds will benefit YearlyKos, the annual meeting of progressive netroot activists (held this year in Chicago).
